Genius Central is founded by Linda and Jim Sheehan, with the original company name of Living Naturally, to serve retailers and suppliers in the natural product industry.
Genius Central launches the first hosted, content driven website service for natural product industry retailers. This service will later be named WebGenius.
ScanGenius, Genius Central’s first multi-vendor ordering solution, launches – giving retailers the ability to order in-aisle from all leading distributors and direct brands using one powerful handheld scanner.
SalesGenius is introduced as a web-based software developed for brokers and manufacturer sales reps to improve and streamline order writing, reporting and managing sales calls.
GeniusCentral’s first retailer portal, NaturalMarketWatch, launches – with access to an extensive network of supplier deals and monthly promotions.
Offering targeted advertising to thousands of retailers in the GC network, PromoGenius launches.
The next phase for Genius Central’s retailer portal launches as MyGeniusCentral. This new destination offers new features and enhancements over the previous retailer portal, NaturalMarketWatch.
SupplierGenius launches, giving industry suppliers the ability to manage their own catalog data and orders through an easy-to-use web-based portal.
BUYiQ is introduced as the next generation in-aisle, multi-vendor ordering solution. This mobile application provides valuable product data right at the user’s fingertips.
DetaSynQ launches, giving retailers power over their data through an approved product list and combining with the in-aisle freedom of BUYiQ.
With upgrades and improvements including advanced filters, interactive promotions, and simplified navigation, BUYiQ 2.0 is released.
Giving retailers a way to supercharge their point-of-sale, with access to the industry’s largest wholesale database and providing product data, pricing and deals, OrderLinQ is introduced to the market.
After successfully migrating ScanGenius customers over to BUYiQ, Genius Central officially closes the ScanGenius program.
